Theatre of the MIND is a production that involves a number of
talented people behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly. Without
their dedication, hard work and all their efforts, the show would not be a reality.
On this page we introduce you to the people that help Robert LAMAR bring you
the show you will NEVER forget, Theatre of the MIND.
Mike joined Theatre of the Mind in the summer of 2009. With a background in promotions, Mike has taken
on the herculean task of Business Manager and Public Relations for Robert LAMAR. He is responsible for all aspects related to the running and management of the show both on and off the road. Some tasks include the booking of performances, the writing of contracts and making sure riders are in place, ensuring that all interviews, appointments, and other events are scheduled and looks after all the financial aspects of the production.
Mike also enjoys the creative process. His input into the weekly 'creativity sessions'
held by the TEAM is important in the design and development of new show segments.
His sharp wit has proven invaluable in making the show what it is today. These 'creative
sessions' are an ongoing process for the entire team in its attempt to make Theatre
of the Mind the funniest show of its kind...a show to be enjoyed - and remembered
- by the whole family.

SHOW DIRECTOR - Richard BONNER
Richard is Theatre of the MIND's Show Director. He has been with the
production since its creation in 1995. Richard's initial role was as
the show's Lighting Designer. However, as time progressed, he quickly became
the overseer for all of Theatre of the MIND's live performances.
His present responsibilities include not only administrating and participating
in the technical end of the stage production (audio, lighting, and special
effects), but also correlating the entire show while on the road. This includes
trucking, road crew, production personnel, backstage concerns, and coordination
with the venue staff. Richard is a vital component in ensuring the success of
Theatre of the MIND.
Off the road, Richard remains the technical advisor for Theatre of the
MIND. In addition, he is involved in the creative process as one of
the contributors to, and evaluators of, the routines that fashion the live
performance, and assists in the designing of the lighting and special effects
for future aspects of the live show.
Richard's foremost capacity outside of Theatre of the MIND is
as a lighting designer and director. For over 30 years Richard has owned his
own entertainment lighting company,
Atlantic
Illumination. Here you will find information on his company, plus
details of his lighting career and the numerous musical and variety acts he has
worked for. Check out Richard's

VISUAL EFFECTS DIRECTOR - Trevor MacDONALD
Trevor Macdonald has been part of Robert LAMAR's Theatre of the MIND since the mid 90's. As a teen Trevor started helping out by working with Richard Bonner in the setting up, tearing down and operation of the show. Back then, the writing was on the wall for Trevor's future interests as, back then, he was affectionately know as "Fog & Bubble Boy" for his being in charge of working the fog and bubble making machines. Currently, Trevor has the lofty title of Visual Effects Director where he is responsible for providing and operating all lighting, video and special effects for Theatre of the MIND.
Trevor started in the entertainment business at a young age after being greatly influenced by the history of magic, illusionists and sideshows. Trevor reports: "I enjoy unique effects that I can take and make my own twist on. I also enjoy fire work including fire-eating and transfers."
However, Trevor's greatest influence in illusions and entertainment occurred after his first visit to Las Vegas Nevada in 2005, and over the last few years this experience has guided his business and performances to new levels. Trevor has been back to Vegas regularly since then and has been fortunate to have met and occasionally conversed with some of the biggest names in magic.
Starting a small disc jockey service when he was young, in 1997 Trevor grew his services into a business called Dimensions Entertainment. Since then Trevor has progressed onto large scale video, music, lighting, audio visual, special effects, film, television, parade floats and many other avenues of the entertainment business now under the label of Spotlight Productions. During this time Trevor has worked with talent such as Hedley, Collective soul, Treble Charger, Sum 41, K-OS and Sloan, just to name a few.
When Trevor is not entertaining crowds big and small his other interests include billiards, collecting and remodeling sports cars, traveling, snowmobiling and relaxing with his pet parrots Vegas and Hollywood.
