Robert LAMAR's What If...?™ ~ The Show
In the fall of 2018, Robert LAMAR began considering a new project. Something different. Something that would get people thinking and experiencing in a way they hadn't before. Something that would amaze them and leave them in complete awe and bewilderment. Something that was fully interactive. But, accomplishing all of this in a very entertaining fashion.
From the beginning of his career, most performances of Robert LAMAR's Theatre of the MIND™ opened with a demonstration of psychological illusion (mentalism). LAMAR contemplated the idea of creating a 2-hour theatrical production of a different kind. He wanted to create a performance consisting exclusively of these amazing interactive mental demonstrations.
LAMAR shared his new idea with his team; much to his surprise and delight, all were excited about the change. Before proceeding, the team knew they needed to find individuals who had the necessary specialized expertise required. And those individuals were found: Jamie Bradley (writer and producer) and Andrew Chandler (director). The newly assembled team has been working on this new show with the intention of making this a never-to-be-forgotten experience.
This new production is a theatrical presentation of thought-reading that delves into the possibilities of the mind utilizing the art and science of psychology, perception, suggestion, and deception. The show is highly interactive and requires much audience participation.
At this time, it is important to mention that nothing of a supernatural or psychic basis is ever claimed. The show, and Robert LAMAR's abilities and talents, are purely entertainment, presented in a way that makes it appear that Robert LAMAR possesses supernatural abilities. He does not.
The first half of the show consists of a series of demonstrations that get progressively harder, more impossible, and more amazing. At least one audience member is required for each of the demonstrations.
During intermission, upwards of sixty audience members will be asked to focus their thoughts on memories--memories that have special meaning for them. These memories will play an important part during the second half of the show.
After intermission, as alluded to above, dozens of audience members will be utilized during the various demonstrations. The finale will bring everything that the audience has experienced during the show together in a stunning, unexpected, and memorable fashion. The show is unique, interactive, and leaves people stunned as they try to determine how any of the demonstrations were even possible.
This is a performance that will entertain AND amaze. Bottom line: your mind will be S-H-A-T-T-E-R-E-D!
